Springboard is a registered Charity. We take nursery vouchers for children from 3-5 years, but otherwise we currently make no charge to parents.

We receive funding from the local Authority, but this pays for only half of our basic costs. It does not cover the costs of new equipment, improvements, special activities or music therapy. We therefore seek funding for these areas from the local community, the corporate sector and Charitable Trusts.

We run a number of fundraising events, which we always need help with and we also need to find more volunteers to work within the Playgroup.

We provide transport for those families who cannot get to us, and we always need volunteer drivers. We pay a mileage allowance, and value the few drivers that we have very greatly.

We have a Management Committee which oversees the working of the group. It is made up of parents, post parents, and friends of Springboard, and we are always looking for new people to bring some new ideas and helping hands to the group.
